The ALEKS Math Assessment is designed to determine which math courses you are academically prepared to take.

Testing requirements for Dual Enrollment students:

All students interested in taking a math course within the next year are required to take the Math Placement Test

Things to know about the ALEKS Math Assessment:

Testing can be completed at home or on campus in the testing center.
The testing center accepts walk-ins and scheduled appointments, photo ID required.
ALEKS Math Assessment:
- Covers material from arithmetic to precalculus.
- Consists of approximately 30 questions.
- Typically takes about 90 minutes to complete.
Students are allowed up to 4 retakes within 12 months of their first attempt (48 hour waiting period between each attempt)

To provide equity to students, each student has the opportunity to brush up on their mathematics skills in our Math Prep and Learning Lab or on their own.

After a student is confident that they have sufficiently reviewed topics to refresh their prior knowledge, they can retake the assessment for a new placement score.
